GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager of Training and Continuous Improvement is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and enhancement of training programs and continuous improvement initiatives for the Electra North America Project, which involves transitioning the business from Oracle to SAP. This role focuses on supporting Operations and Supply Chain, from Order to Ship activities, across our network of optical laboratories. The manager will work closely with key stakeholders to improve training methodologies and continuous improvement processes, ensuring operational excellence and minimizing disruptions during the transformation.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the Electra North America Project, ensuring alignment with project goals and business strategies.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current practices, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with Business teams, Global Process Owners, and IT to ensure strategic alignment and execution of training and improvement methodologies.

  • Design and maintain training materials, guides, and documentation to support learning and operational excellence.

  • Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement techniques across all levels of the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field with a strong focus on organizational development and training.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development roles with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing effective training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize organizational workflows for maximum efficiency.

  • Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading a team and interfacing effectively with stakeholders and IT departments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Experience in a retail or healthcare environment highly desirable.

  • Certifications in training, organizational development, Six Sigma, or Lean Management.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
