Insight Global Legal Assistant in Dallas, Texas

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Legal Assistant or Paralegal for our North Dallas (Galleria area) office. The position will assist attorneys located in both the Dallas and Midland offices handling, reviewing, processing and following-up on a variety of contract documents, answering client calls, scheduling meetings, mailings, as well as collaborating with clients and attorneys, maintaining legal files and updating legal resources. We are a small office and your regular workday will include a variety of matters from redlining and proofing contracts, court or state office filings, legal secretarial work, time entry/billing, and paralegal type duties

Skills and Requirements

60+ WPM, advanced software skills in Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Pro, redlining experience, proofing, reviewing, drafting client correspondence experience,file maintenance, scanning and keeping electronic/paperless files up to date and be well organized. Professional appearance and own transportation expected. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift and move files and books, up to 25lbs. The ideal candidate would have an American Bar Association approved paralegal certificate (or have same in progress and be able to obtain this within 6 months). A candidate that is otherwise very well matched but that does not have a paralegal certificate will be considered. The successful candidate will work under the direction and supervision of our licensed attorneys and report directly to the office manager. null
