Job Description:
The lab technician will be working for the MSE Core Facilities, helping the different facility managers in their daily duties. Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory: gases and chemicals, consumables, tools.
Miscellaneous installations: gas lines, equipment, electrical installation, among others.
Maintenance and repair of experimental systems.
Place orders.
Design and machining of mechanical parts.
Weekly report to MSE Core Facilities Director.
Data acquisition ( XPS , XRD , LEIS , FTIR , Raman and more).
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree with a minimum of two years hands on experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Six (6) months of experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and goals.
Knowledge of Cad design and machining.
