GENERAL FUNCTION

The Internal Auditor has oversight for all business entities within North America - including Oakley in Orange County, CA, the wholesale, treasury, and marketing groups in New York and the retail group in Mason, OH. The Auditor assists with the completion of the annual Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program and actively participates in the completion of the annual internal audit plan for the Group. Performs routine audit activities in the various phases of the SOX and audit processes.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists the audit team in performing walkthroughs by interviewing management personnel and preparing Word and Excel based process narratives.

• Works in concert with the internal audit seniors and managers to design test plans and perform control testing.

• Coordinates with the external audit firm on collaborative control testing and walkthroughs.

• Accumulates evidence to support the audit objectives by filtering information so that the best audit evidence is identified and documented in the audit work papers.

• Draws initial conclusions from testing for confirmation by departmental senior management.

• Applies technological skill set to continually challenge internal processes in an ongoing effort to increase efficiencies within the department.

• Travels as necessary to complete assigned activities, primarily to Orange County, CA and Long Island, NY.

BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1+ years’ experience

• Commitment to continuous learning and career development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA
