VetsEZ Functional Test Engineer (Remote Opportunity) in Dallas, Texas

VetsEZ is seeking an experienced Functional Test Engineer (Remote Opportunity) to join our dynamic team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The candidate must have technological experience in the analysis, design, and integration of information systems and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software. The candidate will be well versed in understanding structured analysis and design methodologies for the translation of systems requirements from business needs, as well as able to evaluate cost factors and risk.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to create test plans and test scripts.

  • Conduct interface testing connected with the system test and production environment including line of sight and application testing.

  • Provide interface testing documentation to the customer as required.

  • Execute and manage testing for multiple implementation waves, including rapidly performing functional and automated regression testing.

  • Track issues, risk, lessons learned and produce test execution reports.

  • Present test execution reviews and provide status to VA customers, facilitate meetings.

  • Other duties as specific by management.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.

  • 3-5 years of experience with agile software testing and quality assurance, in the development of test plans and test procedures. Management of defective databases.

  • Experience with interface testing, line-of-sight testing, error log monitoring and problem investigations.

  • Technical experience on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems and networks and specialized environments, Jira; ALM.

  • Automation tools, such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Web Driver, JUnit, Eclipse, VS Code, Cypress, Cucumber, Rally, Lambada, Katalon, Cypress, Junit, Oracle, Fortify, Eclipse, SoapUI, WebLogic, LoadRunner, etc.

  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills. Fluent in MS Office tools.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other health-related organizations desired.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.

  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
