The Cyber Security Leader for the FLRAA Program will be responsible for interpreting, implementing, and managing cyber security requirements and controlled unclassified information (CUI) management throughout the development lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and effectively communicates and flows down these requirements to all stakeholders involved in the program.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and implement cyber security requirements for the NPI development program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations such as NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and other applicable standards.
Flow down cyber security requirements to internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring all parties understand and comply with these requirements.
Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats throughout the NPI development lifecycle.
Oversee the implementation of security controls and ensure their effectiveness through continuous monitoring and evaluation.
Manage the protection and handling of controlled unclassified information (CUI), ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and best practices.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to ensure alignment with security requirements and best practices.
Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees and partners on cyber security and CUI protection.
Stay current with emerging cyber security threats and trends, and recommend proactive measures to address them.
Lead and mentor a team of cyber security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on requirements interpretation, flow down, and CUI management in a military or defense environment.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with military NPI development programs and systems.
Knowledge of secure software development practices and tools.
Familiarity with cloud security and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and other relevant regulations and standards.
Experience with risk management frameworks, security controls, and incident response procedures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
Customer focused attitude.
Strong interpersonal and inclusive leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive cross functional collaboration.
Experience deploying lean tools and methodologies.
Independent, self-starter that can proactively manage a variety of external and internal stakeholders
