About the Role:

We are looking for a versatile Facilities Technician II with repair maintenance experience in commercial buildings to provide support for facility operations and mission critical environments on the weekend evening shift (6pm-6am) and two additional (8hr) weekday shifts for a total 40hr work week. Technician shall perform all operational duties and projects support as assigned by leads and managers in a timely manner. Be available on-call as needed for 24x7 support on a rotational basis if needed. The position will be on-site, and based in the Dallas, TX office.

You Will:

  • Work the weekend 6pm-6am (12hr) shift and two additional (8hr) shifts of the technician’s choosing.

  • Carry a Bank issued, work phone and be available to take calls after hours or arrive on-site when needed.

  • Recognize and troubleshoot equipment and operational issues with available resources and limited supervision.

  • Perform installation, verification, and repair of all building equipment including but not limited to electrical systems, lighting systems, plumbing, HVAC equipment, kitchen food processing equipment, security equipment, bollard and gate arm systems, and general construction activities as required.

  • Operate a variety of equipment and power tools as required to complete assigned tasks, e.g. forklifts, scissor lifts, table saws, miter saws, sanders, welders, drill presses, grinders, nail guns, etc.

  • Keep supervisor, leads, and facilities management team informed of relevant information related to status of building operations.

  • Manage and escort outside vendors through service contracts and purchase orders for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to facility equipment.

  • Place orders through the Bank’s purchasing order system to acquire equipment, materials, and service contracts to complete work orders as required.

  • Manage Fedtrac work order system for scheduling PM’s, projects, and general work orders.

  • Work with facilities project teams, internal customers, and contractors to complete work related to specific Bank projects.

You Have:

  • Basic skills in carpentry, welding, security, fire alarm systems, building automation systems, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, food processing (kitchen) equipment repair, or a combination of these things is strongly preferred.

  • Equivalent repair and maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment may be substituted for commercial experience.

  • High school diploma and 5-7 years of technical building experience in operations, maintenance, and repair of building and equipment. Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted.

  • Effective verbal and writing skills to communicate with customers, supervisors, and other employees and vendors to complete work-related documentation.

  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures, PPE usage, MOPs, SOPs, etc.

  • Ability to read schematics and construction drawings.

  • Ability to work well in a team or independently.

  • Willingness to learn new skillsets, attain licensure, and or get additional training as needed to support building operations.

  • Has basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows operating systems.

  • Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts in areas subject to noise, heat, dust or cold.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This role supports the ongoing operation of the Bank and requires working onsite at the Federal Reserve work location 100% of the time.
