Position: Director, Implementation

Job Description:

The Director, Implementation will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, driving customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization through effective project management and leadership. As the Director, Implementation you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of customer projects from the point of sale through to completion. This individual will collaborate closely with the sales team, operations team, and all supporting departments to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and prioritize customer opportunities with a high probability of closure

  • Assess feasibility and alignment of customer requirements with company capabilities

  • Work with sales and customers to document and finalize the scope of work (SOW) post-sale

  • Ensure the right vendors and vendor solutions are being recommended to support the new business

  • Work with sales and the customer to document any customer required service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Assign appropriate implementation resources to manage and execute projects

  • Support implementation managers in developing detailed project plans including milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation

  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with the implementation project team to monitor progress

  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, issues, and risks

  • Identify and manage scope creep, collaborating with operations and sales to address additional costs

  • Ensure projects maintain target margins and customer satisfaction levels

  • Maintain a comprehensive summary of all ongoing implementations, detailing status and expected completion dates

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on implementation performance

  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or a related field

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within a technology or transportation and logistics industry, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
