What you'll do

  • ​Collaborates with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads and other developers, along with internal customers, to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements

  • Advise on technology capabilities and best practice enhancement to management and team members

  • Develop unique and product specific change request processes for delivered solutions

  • Constantly refine and implement performance enhancements on delivered/supported solutions

  • Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, using domain driven design and test-driven development

  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solutions

  • Supports the development of coding standards and adheres to best practices and security guidelines

  • Works closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

  • 3+ years experience in a Business Intelligence/Data Science oriented role.

  • Experience with at least 2 of and familiarity with, all major database technologies. i.e. SQL Server, Teradata, PostGres, Mongo, etc.

  • Experience with PowerBI and functional familiarity with IBM Cognos and Tableau.

  • Advanced to Master level capabilities with SQL development.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

  • 5 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience

  • Airline Industry experience

  • Experience with Tableau Business Intelligence

  • Microsoft Azure environments and tools, i.e. databricks, ADO, data factory.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Familiarity with Full Stack Development

  • ​Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following technologies:

  • SQL and related languages

  • PowerBI

  • Cognos

  • Tableau

  • Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Experience in Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM

  • Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
