Baylor Scott & White Health Clinical System Administrator in Dallas, Texas

Job Summary:

The Clinical System Administrator is responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and maintenance of the Connexall platform. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Connexall system, which facilitates integrated communication and workflow management across various healthcare applications and devices. The Connexall System Administrator will collaborate with IT teams, healthcare professionals, and vendors to optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support the integration of Connexall with other systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Management and Maintenance:

· Administer and maintain the Connexall platform, including installation, configuration, and updates.

· Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure the seamless operation of Connexall services.

· Coordinate the regular system backups schedule, maintain data recovery procedures, and validate disaster recovery readiness with the IT Infrastructure groups.

  1. Integration and Configuration:

· Collaborate with healthcare IT teams and vendors to integrate Connexall with electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical devices, and other healthcare applications.

· Configure and customize Connexall modules and features to meet organizational requirements and enhance workflow efficiency.

  1. User and Access Management:

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and roles within the Connexall platform.

· Provide support and training to end-users and other team members, ensuring effective use of Connexall functionalities and features.

  1. Troubleshooting and Support:

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Connexall systems, including connectivity problems, system errors, and performance issues.

· Provide timely and effective support to users, addressing and resolving incidents as per service level agreements.

  1. Security and Compliance:

· Implement and enforce security measures to protect Connexall systems and data from unauthorized access and breaches.

· Collaborate with the IT Security Team to ensure that Connexall operations comply with relevant healthcare regulations and organizational policies, including HIPAA.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:

· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Connexall configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.

· Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.

  1. Continuous Improvement:

· Stay informed about advancements in Connexall technology and industry best practices.

· Propose and implement system enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on healthcare IT systems or similar technologies.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency with Connexall platform administration and management.

· Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, EHR integration, and communication protocols.

· Familiar with server and database management, including Windows Server and SQL.

Soft Skills:

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

· The position may require occasional after-hours support or on-call responsibilities.

· Work is typically performed in an office environment, with potential on-site support at healthcare facilities as needed.
