AT&T Assistant Vice President Creative Direction - Retail in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

Overall Purpose: Provides Retail Marketing expertise in creative direction, manages creative resources and processes to assure consistency across all consumer touch points and a supportive delivery of sales within retail. Develops creative approaches in accordance with consumer shopping behaviors, AT&T brand identity, value propositions and design principles. Balances creative excellence and brand standards with the needs of the business owners and communication objectives. Understands and interprets customer data, shopping behaviors and feedback—translating conclusions and direction that will be used to improve the retail creative experience and customer support.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Retail creative and consumer behavior industry thought leader recognized beyond AT&T for expanding the field of design and customer experience in retail environments. Has demonstrated knowledge of the marketplace and new developments in retail; ability to predict consumer and technology related trends that shape the retail environment and consumer shopping preferences.

  • Works with multiple levels of leadership to educate, socialize, collaborate, and energize the company about the direction we are taking in Retail Marketing. This includes top officer and senior management employees as well as middle management and working teams.

  • Can independently manage multiple projects, as well as a team of people. Actively manages and contributes to AT&T processes, roles and resources related to retail creative design and customer experience.

  • Run to that “submit your application” button IF you are knowledgeable and effective at influencing others around winning tactics and strategies; you hold a big-picture vision for aligning creative projects with company and brand mission; and you crave data and insights to influence your merchandising strategies and you display a strong persistence towards achieving your goals.

  • Don’t apply if you back away from healthy debate and feedback, if consumer insights don’t inspire you, or creative doesn’t evoke an emotion from you.

Desired Experience:

  • Master-level, real-world experience in retail creative and customer experience design (10+ years, including 5+ years in management) with working knowledge of managing projects and teams independently.

  • Education: Preferred Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Design, Art, Interactive Design, Retail Merchandising, or a related digital media discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and technical training. An advanced degree is preferred.

Our AVP Creative Direction - Retail salary is between $210,600 - $316,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
