Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the manufacturing industry based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves overseeing the accounting team's daily operations and providing due diligence support.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily activities of the Accounting Team, ensuring efficient operations
• Provide support during tax audits
• Act as a key player in the Accounting team's ERP project
• Supervise all accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Oversee month-end closing processes and manage the preparation of financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Utilize SAP systems for financial operations, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with department heads to gather necessary data
• Conduct detailed cost accounting, providing insights on cost efficiency measures to maintain the company's financial health
• Regularly create comprehensive financial reports and present them to senior management, stakeholders, and external auditors when necessary
• Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the accounting team, directing and developing team members
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits are compliant with financial regulations and legislation.
Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is vital.
• Adeptness in Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential.
• Capability to handle Journal Entries is crucial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
• Experience in Month End Close activities is required.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP is important.
• Understanding of US GAAP regulations is crucial.
• Experience in Consolidations is necessary.
• Proficiency in Foreign Currency Translation is required.
