• As a Procurement Excellence Analyst at American Airlines, you will be instrumental in transforming our procurement operations. This role demands a visionary with proven experience in procure-to-pay, preferably Coupa, best-in-breed technologies across our source-to-pay process, and a strategic approach to procurement.

• The role is a part of the Procurement Strategy team within our Finance division.

• Lead and manage procurement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with company objectives.

• Support the development of the strategic vision for the future of Procurement reporting and data strategy.

• Develop and implement data analysis strategies, dashboards, and reports to optimize procurement activities and supplier performance.

• Utilize advanced analytical techniques to forecast market trends and inform strategic decisions.

• Derive data-driven actionable insights on procurement metrics and performance to provide recommendations for the department and officer level.

• Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision-making and improve profitability.

• Identify areas where advanced analytics or digital solutions can be utilized to improve existing processes or performance.

• Facilitate supplier enablement by developing strategies that streamline supplier onboarding and management.

• Create and maintain e-catalogues, ensuring they reflect current offerings and pricing.

• Provide guidance on procurement best practices and emerging technologies across our Source to Pay.

• Develop standardize procurement practices across the organization.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Strategy, Finance, Business Management, Data Analytics or other related field

• 3+ years of experience in source-to-pay, contract life cycle management, and spend analytics, including negotiation, compliance, and optimization

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Advanced degree in Supply Chain or other related field

• Experience in supplier enablement and e-catalogues creation

• Knowledge of Coupa or Source to Pay systems

• Advanced Excel skills, experience with dashboard tools, procurement systems, and SQL

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Demonstrated ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams

• Proficiency in creating sourcing templates and a strong focus on automation and digitization

• Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple and diverse projects with changing priorities

• Skilled in creating dashboards and establishing CPO KPls

• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Cognos and analytics tools

• Passion for sustainability and sustainable sourcing practices

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
