Advisory Risk Data Management - Technical Sr. Consultant

Work you'll do

The Senior Consultant is a key contributor in providing data and analytics solutions to our clients, and you will have following roles:

  • Designing and implementing solutions to various data related technical challenges such as data architecture, data platforms, data solution implementation, data quality and data security

  • Leveraging data analytics tools/software build robust and scalable solutions

  • Integrating and/or piloting next-generation technologies such as cloud platforms, machine learning and Generative AI (GenAI)

  • Working with clients to understand their challenges and requirements

  • Developing custom scripts and algorithms to automate data processing and analysis to generate insights

  • Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, impactful manner

  • Facilitating change management processes to ensure smooth adaptation of new processes / data practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, data engineering, data science or data analytics

  • Proficiency in tools in the following areas:

  • Scripting and Programming (e.g., Python, SQL, R, Java, Scala, etc.)

  • Big Data Tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala, Mahout, etc.)

  • Data Management (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, etc.)

  • Predictive Analytics (e.g., Python, IBM SPSS, SAS Enterprise Miner, RPL, Matl, etc.)

  • Data Visualization (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, TIBCO-Spotfire, CliqView, SPSS, etc.)

  • Data Mining (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, etc.)

  • Experience in:

  • Managing technical data projects

  • Leveraging data analytics tools/software to develop solutions

  • Developing statistical model tools and techniques

  • Developing data services and solutions in a cloud environment

  • Designing data architecture

  • Analyzing complex data sets & communicating findings effectively

  • Proven track record of effective communication (written and verbal) and complex problem solving in fast paced environments

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field OR MBA

  • Experience implementing large-scale data initiatives

  • Experience with financial services industry rules and regulations

  • Cloud Certification (e.g. AWS, Azure), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar credentials

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,718 to $197,863.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
