Cummins Inc. Advanced Warehouse Operator - Level I in Dallas, Texas
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator (1 st Shift) to join our team in Dallas, TX.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Under some supervision, enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock/inventory and training records.
These activities may include responding to customer escalations, order allocation, part profile & inventory records; preparing reports, training operators, customs compliance processes, domestic and international transportation related procedures and completing forms (receipt, transfer, delivery, dispatch, etc.)
Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse
Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
Operates manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations.
Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Requires Cummins provided certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc..) and/or other heavy machinery.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and advanced level computer skills.
Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment
This is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.
Please note, this is a first shift position, the hours will be 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.
This position does not require and Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
