Pratt & Whitney’s Advanced Job Lead/Inspector works independently or under limited supervision to provide aircraft engine maintenance/repair within our Dallas based shop as well as on-site at our customers locations globally. In this role, you may provide engine troubleshooting, aircraft engine repairs, aircraft engine module removal and replacement, field repairs, aircraft engine changes, and line maintenance (including LRU removal and replacement) as well as inspection and subsequent return to service of those maintenance activities while developing positive relationships with customers through outstanding customer awareness.

What You Will Do:

• Effectively and efficiently perform borescope inspections of all models of Pratt & Whitney commercial aircraft engines and provide blade blending as appropriate. Create a detailed and comprehensive report of the inspection and findings associated with the inspection.

• Conduct preliminary, in process and final inspections as well as hidden damage inspection and record the results as per applicable procedures.

• Perform incoming inspection of parts/consumables/shelf-life items/chemicals/tools and record the results of those inspections as per applicable procedures.

• Approve articles for return to service through issuance of FAA Form 8130-3

• Serve as a Job Lead for engines worked in either the LMS shop or in the field at Customer locations globally.

• Travel frequently on short notice to serve our Global Customer base.

• Understand and follow appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures and/or other approved technical data when performing maintenance.

• Build customer relationships through verbal and written communication

• Collaborate with other teams to support continuous improvement.

• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to domestic and/or international locations

• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school graduate or GED and 2 years of post-high school education and 8 years of experience to include boreblend, borescope and aircraft engine maintenance and inspection reporting.

• Holder of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Powerplant license

• 5+ years of related experience in inspection and repair of commercial aircraft engines

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience communicating technical data to external customers

• Experience working cross functionally and collaborating to solve complex problems.

• Familiar with Commercial Airline business practices

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
