Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant: III (Senior) in the Dallas, Texas, 75201, United States. This role involves a combination of complex accounting functions and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process monthly accounting entries and maintain relevant documentation to support the monthly close cadence.
• Use Excel and advanced analytical skills to accurately complete monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Proactively research and resolve discrepancies to improve the effectiveness of the accounting reporting team.
• Adjust and/or enhance current accounting reporting processes to improve efficiency through automation.
• Provide robust variance and composition analysis related to financial statement captions.
• Prepare detailed schedules for internal and external reporting needs, including regulatory or management reporting.
• Utilize digital tools such as Excel Access for data mining to analyze and interpret data.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations. Requirements • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and team members
• Proven ability in documentation and reporting for transparency and record-keeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing and analysis
• Strong research skills to help in making informed financial decisions
• Ability to perform in-depth reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Extensive knowledge of the general ledger and its functions
• Proficiency in preparing and understanding financial statements
• Digital literacy to leverage various financial and accounting software
• Experience with journal entries for maintaining financial records
• Ability to work onsite and coordinate with various departments
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a must
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and trends
• Experience in external reporting to meet regulatory requirements
• Ability to resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly
• Experience in management reporting for effective decision-making
• Language interpretation skills for working with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to handle monthly close activities efficiently
• Experience in data mining for extracting valuable financial insights
• Composition skills for creating clear and concise financial reports
• Comprehensive understanding of various accounting functions
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement for collaborative decision-making
