We are looking for an exceptional manager who can lead the team in meeting productivity metrics for the short-term planning horizon and performing mitigation actions to ensure high level of service delivery planning at site / network level and who has the ability to drive new innovations in the customer service industry to join us in Worldwide Capacity Planning team. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables him/her to manage global network planning, and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about customer service initiatives. She/he will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead real time management team, Influences site operational leaders, tech teams, priorities, and high severity incidents. Mentors and manages L4 managers.

  2. Uses knowledge to coach and build team taking real time actions for the assigned network. Manages risk by leading mitigation steps during high severity incidents. Delivers independently, but will seek direction.

  3. Manages difficult problems. Mitigates immediate risks. Decides if they can handle or need to escalate. Makes trade-offs: time vs. quality vs. resources.

  4. Improves project and process efficiency. Optimizes cross-team processes that improve team efficacy and delivery.

  5. Work is Tactical. Establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms for RTM. Makes sure decisions are data-driven, and outcomes are auditable

  6. Able to spot risks, ask the right questions during high severity incidents. Accelerates progress by driving timely decisions and clears blockers, escalates appropriately.

  7. Owns a small program/project. Defines program/project requirements and is responsible for goals in an area with a defined strategy/problem. Learning to be strategic.

  8. Able to create a plan, communicate requirements, negotiate priorities, and quantify what success looks like. Drives detailed discussions and high-level alignment

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in professional work/various stakeholder management using English skills.

• Overall planning or supply chain management experience of 5 years or more along with 3 years or more of people management experience

• Experience in planning using analytical and mathematical skills.

• Experience in working with MS Excel, VBA, SQL, Data Warehouse or business intelligence systems

• Experience in working with multiple projects with aligned timelines

• English and Japanese communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Workforce Management tools

• Automation skills and experience of working on BI/automation.

• Experience in managing programs/processes in high-volume, scalable environments

• Ability to handle business continuity plans

• Ability to work in a global environment and interact with global stakeholders.

• A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.

• Innovative and creative in finding solutions/ designing improved methods, systems and processes

• Ability to deflect decisions with data points, foresee potential issues, and advocate relentlessly for improvement
