Amentum Surface Warefare Analyst in Dahlgren, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Surface Warefare Analyst with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps

Surface Warefare Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing Human Factors Engineering support based on their operational knowledge

  • Providing operational knowledge to optimize total system performance and total ownership costs, while ensuring that the system is designed, operated, and maintained consistent with mission requirements.

  • Providing integrated and comprehensive analysis, design, and assessment of requirements, concepts, and resources for human factors engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution

  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance

  • Must have Combat Systems experience related to Aegis Combat and Weapons Systems or Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), and Shipboard Navigation Systems

  • Must have experience on Surface Combatant Ships to include a deployment in support of battle group operations

  • Must possess an Officer of the Deck (OOD) qualification

  • Former Surface Warfare Officer (SWO), Limited Duty Officer (LDO) or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) with a minimum of 10 years US Navy Active duty experience

  • Complete a tour of duty on a CVN or Amphib Class Surface Ship

  • Completion of ship deployment in support of battle group operations

  • Test and Evaluation experience

  • Tactics development and evaluation

  • Tactical Action Officer (TAO) qualification

  • Navy Instructor/Master Training Specialist (MTS)

  • Specialty fleet systems qualifications
