SAIC Model Based Systems Engineer in DAHLGREN, Virginia
Description
SAIC is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) in Dahlgren, VA.
Note : This position is 100% on site.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Plans and executes modeling and simulation systems development projects.
Possesses and applies knowledge about simulation methods for analysis of complex human-machine systems and training.
Designs and develops simulation systems and modeling of simulation objects.
Duties may include performing analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques to the life-cycle development of systems; performing analysis and trade-off studies related to operational issues, and reviewing test plans to ensure MOEs address operational requirements using modeling and simulation tools and techniques; reviewing plans for system integration, operation, and maintenance and assisting in the development of training for operational personnel.
JOB DUTIES :
Provide input/support in the requirements validation, operational conceptualization, and developmental testing.
Work within Model Based Systems Engineering principals using the Cameo Systems Modeler tool.
Develop alternatives to understand impacts to the architecture.
This position supports integration testing and the verification and validation of software releases.
Integrate with other engineers to find optimal software solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and five (5) years professional technical experience with familiarity of Naval Weapon Systems.
A robust knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology and the Cameo Systems Modeler tool.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE :
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
