Aston Carter Project Manager in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Aston Carter is working with a great client in the Cuyahoga Falls, OH area who is seeking a Project Manager Consultant to join their team!

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating multiple projects to ensure they align with the organization’s goals and objectives. This role involves project planning & execution, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and risk management to deliver project on time, within scope, within budget and meeting project goals. The Project Manager will follow the AMI Stage Gate process.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop project plans, goals, and objectives in alignment with organizational strategy.

  • Define project milestones, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Identify and manage relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project goals, progress, and challenges.

Project Execution:

  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints.

Resource Management:

  • Identify the resources needed for assigned projects.

  • Coordinate with functional leaders to identify resource needs and resolve conflicts.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues within the project and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the project budget.

  • Track project expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.

  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts as needed.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and best practices.

  • Plan and execute project quality control processes.

  • Contribute to best project management practices and maintain project management discipline (includes conventional project management practices as well as AMI Stage gate process)

Performance Reporting:

  • Develop and deliver project status reports to management and stakeholders.

  • Utilize metrics and KPIs to assess project performance and implement improvements.

Change Management:

  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.

  • Ensure all change requests are properly documented and communicated.

Project Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and direction to project team.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

  • Mentor and support the professional development of team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly desirable

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $62.00/hr.
