Description
This individual contributor will collaborate with peers across various development and quality teams to ensure the continuous functionality of our sharing and editing, organizational and creative tools, features, and frameworks. Your primary responsibilities will encompass functional, regression, and integration testing across multiple platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS. While working as part of a close-knit team, you will independently investigate, triage, and escalate the issues you and others encountered. Your daily work will involve iterative software validation of both existing and new features and technologies, utilizing both manual and automated approaches. The demanding work environment requires the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects while delivering your significant contributions to their success. You will be accountable for driving and triaging automation, including script authoring as necessary. Excellent oral and written communication, as well as organizational skills, are essential due to the detailed and time-bound nature of the work and the extensive collaboration with others.
Minimum Qualifications
• Three years of professional experience in consumer software test engineering, utilizing manual and automated methods;
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, prolific and effective problem/defect identification; identifying and driving critical problem resolution;
• Extensive test plan development experience; proficiency in prioritizing and escalating issues to stakeholders;
• Effectiveness in balancing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines, all while keeping to a holistic vision;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective communication to both technical and non-technical audiences, are essential;

• Skilled in testing digital media acquisition, augmentation and editing, evaluating photographic correctness as well representing a desired subjective look or feel.
• Knowledgeable about Apple’s current hardware and software ecosystem; very familiar with Camera, Photos, and other video and photographic offerings from Apple and industry leaders
• Comfortable sharing considered opinions and seeking those of others; taking the time for details while staying true to the broader picture.
• Practical proficiency in shell/CLI methodology and some experience in test automation (Python and XCTest), is highly valued; remote device testing and general CI process understanding are advantageous

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $97,300 and $188,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
