Here on the Apple Store Online team, we are responsible for Apple’s largest store. Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. Each customer should feel like they are our only customer and our job is to set the bar for the experience they receive. To run such an extraordinary store, it takes extraordinary people, and we are looking for someone to help us do extraordinary things. Apple is looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Apple Store Online Product Team, with a focus on the infrastructure and tooling that builds our e-commerce experience. This team drives the roadmap and delivery of technical capabilities, with a vision for the future of online shopping. This is a technical role that links between business, design, and engineering to deliver incredible experiences and products to our customers.

Description

We are a high performing team supporting Apple’s initiatives and representing the future of digital retail. In this role, you will be responsible for helping define and drive the Apple Store Online’s technical architecture and roadmap. Working together with key cross functional partners, such as other product managers, Product Marketing, Merchandising, Digital Content Management, Engineering, Operations and more, you will help chart a course for use to continue to evolve our architecture. Your role is to challenge old assumptions, and bring them flexibility and dynamism that our business teams need to take us into the future - all while keeping our existing multi-billion dollar business running flawlessly. You experience building complex, scalable systems, will help inform our architecture choices and encourage us to explore new technologies. Beyond strategy and roadmaps, you’ll dive into the details and help drive project to implement upgrades and our tools and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a technical degree, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience

  • 7+ years Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, and/or Engineering Management

  • Deep understanding and experience designing and building complex, large scale, multi-tenant systems; expertise in designing for scale

  • Track record of developing and delivering multi-year experience and capability roadmaps with complex interdependencies

  • Proficiency with new technologies like AI, Deep Learning, and their practical applications in digital commerce

  • Familiarity with 3rd Party e-commerce marketplace integrations

  • Experience working with publishing, merchandising, and other key e-commerce systems

  • Experience working with globally distributed teams, in a multi-lingual/cultural environment

  • Ability to challenge conventions and debate solutions to identify the best possible outcome for customers

  • Ability to communicate effectively, across all levels of the organization, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
