ManpowerGroup Quality Engineer in Cupertino, California

Our client in the consumer electronics industry is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality department supporting the Watch component teams. The ideal candidate will have outstanding ability to build relationships, be laser-focused on the smallest details, and have experience in New Product Introduction, Design Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations.

What's the Job?

  • Support technical readiness during program development cycle

  • Drive project quality issues with material, process, fixtures, equipment, etc. during the new-product phase to enable delivery of a mature product and manufacturing process into mass production

  • Utilize DOE, FMEA, and other industry-standard tools to proactively identify and address risks and optimize process parameters

  • Establish quality programs and process control plans for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered

  • Manage the Product Quality Plan (PQP), innovating as needed to ensure robust quality for new products

What's Needed?

  • 3+ years proven experience in one or more of the following subject areas: New Product Introduction / Design Engineering / Manufacturing Operations

  • Good understanding of electronic assembly processes

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and production control processes

  • Knowledgeable in data analysis and interpretation; Tableau scripting and JMP scripting knowledge is preferred

  • Experience partnering with international contract manufacturers in mass production; experience traveling to manufacturing sites
