Join our Retail App Design team as an experienced Product Designer and help shape the tools used by Apple's retail team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Description

As a Product Designer focused in design systems, you’ll play a key role in driving the evolution of our design system, ensuring it supports our suite of apps used by Apple Store team members. This role balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, collaborating across functions, and mentoring others in systems thinking and design craft. Responsibilities include: - Leading the architecture and evolution of our design system, defining and implementing strategies to scale and improve it in alignment with business needs and future vision. - Working closely with Design and Engineering partners to bring systems strategies to life, and build high quality UI foundations that enable designers and engineers across Retail to efficiently deliver great products. - Sharing your experience and excellence through leading by example in your design work, directly mentoring other designers, and creating and leveraging venues to share knowledge with the entire Design team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must submit a design portfolio of concepts and design solutions that includes sketches, wireframes, detailed designs and prototypes focusing on iOS, iPad & macOS platforms.

• At least 6 years of design experience in product design roles with at least 2 years contributing to design systems

• Highly proficient and efficient with design and prototyping tools to visualize ideas and deliver work quickly

• Experience designing apps at every stage of the process, from concepting through delivery, working closely with partners to ensure high quality outcomes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present work to large groups and executives

• Familiarity with behavioral design principles, including understanding of human motivations, biases, and decision-making processes.

• Experienced in AI/ML and other emerging technologies

• Flexible and fast learner with a proven track record delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced work environment

• Degree in interaction design, human interaction, sociology, psychology, visual design, or related field

• A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
