Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something. The Build Quality team is seeking an Operating System Build Quality Engineer. You will be responsible for the quality and stability of daily builds for one of our Operating systems. We're looking for organized, critical thinkers who would like to play a key role in driving the testing and coordination of QA effort across the OS. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape and improve the software that allows our products to delight and inspire millions of users every day.
Description
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills, and a deep interest in Software Quality. You will be responsible for testing of one of our operating systems. You will monitor & triage automated test runs, design test plans, test cases, risk analysis. You will need to identify, escalate, and communicate key build quality issues, and work towards resolutions on the critical issues affecting the build quality. Other responsibilities include designing and reviewing tests and coverage plans in alignment with different QA teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Scripting experience in Python / Swift
Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems and independently work towards results
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $97,300 and $162,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
