Description

We are a dynamic team of engineers responsible for driving the quality of Apple’s accessory ecosystem. You’ll use your technical expertise to solve difficult problems at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and software, while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to drive customer facing issues to resolution. You will create, design, and plan complete end-to-end testing for accessory programs to deliver impressive products to our customers. Responsibilities Include: - Designing comprehensive test plans to validate Apple accessories features and experience across common and corner customer scenarios - Authoring/ leveraging automation and test tools - Representing key issues to leadership teams while driving them to resolution

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in QA methodologies and processes

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • System-level understanding of core consumer electronics technologies, such as USB-PD, Qi, MagSafe, or wireless charging

  • Capacity to dive deep technically, learn new technologies, and understand the technical details of an accessory or product system

  • Ability to efficiently articulate key points or risks to non-technical audiences

  • Excellent communication skills and effective at building relationships to collaborate and influence projects

  • Experience deploying testing at scale

  • Ability to analyze and distill meaningful insight from large data and make quantitative assessments

  • Experience with a coding/scripting language, such as bash or Python

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
