Description:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. A personal trainer is responsible for developing relationships with members and assisting them through the process of actively working towards better health. A personal trainer provides personalized exercise guidance, support and education. Requirements:
- BA/BS Must have a four-year degree in Exercise Science, PE, or a related field OR an accredited personal training certification (NSCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA)
- Experience working in a customer / member service industry.
- Ability to understand, adapt to and interact with diverse people, teams, perspectives and cultures.
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
- Must obtain within 30 days of employment and then maintain current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, and required Redwoods trainings.
