Position: Business Development Manager Salary: $76,914-$95,000 annually

DUTIES :

Assists the Director of Business Development in the development and directing of new business programs throughout the Coast Guard Exchange System (CGES) including sales to APF Entities, services, vending operations and new retail outlets etc.

Assists the Director of Business Development in administering, evaluating and analyzing plans, policies and procedures for new businesses programs including services, vending operations, and new retail outlets.

Assists Director of Business Development in interpreting applicable directives and regulations.

Helps establish procedures for implementation for vending and concession service operations, providing guidance and assistance to CGX store operators to ensure effective operation and compliance.

Develops, implements and analyzes business development projects. Uses data analytical tools to create business case proposals for new initiatives relating to business development such as new/improved methods, equipment, supplies and other similar items. Evaluates data and performance to recommend strategies for improving business outcomes and profitability.

Performs related duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 8 years

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience directly related to business development, including tasks such as market analysis, program evaluation, and the implementation of new business initiatives

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, with advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and the creation of complex dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making

  • Experience in applying statistical methods and financial modeling techniques using Excel to assess and project the viability and financial impact of business initiatives

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, including proficiency in data analytics software (e.g., Python, R) and SQL for large-scale data analysis

    Preferred (in addition to the minimum):

  • Minimum of 3 years of advanced experience with analytics including the use of statistical analysis tools, data visualization, and the interpretation of complex data sets to support business decision-making.

  • Strong knowledge of both APF and NAF policies and procedures.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms like MicroStrategy or PowerBI is preferred.
