Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * Culinary Services Crosby, MN Support Services Part Time Over, 8-hour Varied Shift FTE: .8 FTE (64 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend Posted 08/21/2024 Req # 13403 This position is an internal posting for current CRMC employees to apply beginning at 8:00 am on 8/21 until 4:00 pm on 8/27 Most shifts will be 10:00am-6:30pm Weekend status will change come October POSITION SUMMARY Cooks prepare and serve high quality meals to patients, residents, guests and all Medical Center personnel. Cooks must continually strive to maintain the highest possible standards of preparation, service and sanitation. They must also lead the nutrition team toward the achievement of the goals of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. High quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Previous food service experience required. License/Certificates: N/A Special Skills and Aptitudes: Effective interpersonal relationship skills including good listening and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in variety of settings and with a variety of people at different organization levels. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately. Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation. Exercises good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and insight to problem solving. Adjusts to stressful situations with confidence and good judgment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for preparing all food Medical Center wide and adhering to established menu plans and catering details. Serves meals to all residents and patients in accordance with physician's orders. Leads, guides, supervise, teach, and help team members in all daily activities.
