Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * Accounting Services Crosby, MN Administrative Support Part Time Over, 8-hour Day Shift FTE: .6 FTE (48 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: No weekends Posted 11/19/2024 Req # 13655 POSITION SUMMARY The Accounts Payable Specialist assures that all receipts are properly accounted for and deposited into the bank. This includes CRMC and all related entities. They also process all invoices presented to CRMC and all related entities for payment in accordance to policies and vendor agreements. The Accounts Payable Specialist must work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy in accounting of the receipts for non-patient revenues and payables. They work independently to provide accuracy and timeliness providing support toward CRMC reaching its goals. They assist in year end audit planning and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Two year degree in accounting or related field and/or 3 years previous accounts payable or related experience. License/Certificates: N/A Special Skills and Aptitudes: Ability to perform routine and complex procedures. Ability to recognize problems, identify the cause, and implement solutions. Ability to work with others in a courteous and tactful manner. Ability to properly operate all equipment required for this position. Ability to perform accounting functions on a personal computer. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains and balances daily receipt log for all patient and non-patient payments. Properly endorses all checks received. Prepares daily bank deposit. Prepares all invoices for payment. Verifies proper documentation/approvals on invoices. Applies proper general ledger code to invoice. Produces payable checks in a timely manner. Prepares and submits tax returns. Submits wire transfer payments when needed. Maintains accurate vendor dictionary on computer. Processes payable checks as they clear the bank and assist in monthly bank reconciliations. Assist in monthly reconciliation of all payable and receivable accounts on the balance sheet.
