TEXAS DISPOSAL SYSTEMS INC Account Manager -- Austin in Creedmore, Texas

The Account Manager is responsible for the establishment and retention of commercial, construction, or event services to existing customers, resolving escalated customer issues and meeting monthly retention goals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Meet monthly retention goals.
  2. Make regular contact and conduct site visits with existing customers in your assigned territory.
  3. Sell services by demonstrating knowledge of a customers service needs and resolving service issues.
  4. Support sales revenue growth by providing outbound sales leads reported from undersold services.
  5. Resolve escalated customer issues within the assigned territory.
  6. Secure updated contract agreements and service addendums from customers.
  7. Processing customer cancellation requests.
  8. Educate customers on contract detail and offer service solutions.
  9. Respond to customer voicemails, emails and other communication by end of the following business day.
  10. Collaborate with New Sales Representatives to assume account management for new accounts within your territory.
  11. Participate in departmental meetings.
  12. Coordinate with the Commercial Care team to ensure timely work order processing for services.
  13. Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • At least one year of sales experience or three years of customer service support
  • Reliable transportation to travel to customer or prospect sites
  • Must exhibit a professional appearance and telephone demeanor
  • Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate a strong work ethic and be willing to adapt to change
  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and problem solve
  • Must be able to work well with internal customers at all levels of the company

PREFERRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree
  • Experience using a prospect database

REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS

  • Valid Class C drivers license
  • Safe driving record for the past three years
