TEXAS DISPOSAL SYSTEMS INC WARRANTY ANALYST - AUSTIN in Creedmoor, Texas
JOB SUMMARY
The Warranty and Parts Analyst completes and processes warranty paperwork and verifies criteria required by the vendor. This position ensures the accurate and complete data entry when processing parts and service warranty claims, performs audits, cycle counts and control activities to maintain the integrity of inventories and travels to field locations to conduct inventory and processes warranty claims.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wear the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), when necessary.
- Immediately report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Review claim information provided by dealers and process warranty claims per the established guidelines.
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities for improvement with the warranty program.
- Track warranties to monitor the total dollars recouped.
- Process and monitor repair orders to ensure warranties are processed accurately.
- Work with the Accounting Department to ensure all warranty information is accounted for and assigned to the correct company.
- Assist with auditing warranty information between the accounting system and maintenance database and report data errors.
- Track warranties to capture the total dollars associated with each.
- Travel to different company sites to conduct training and audits.
- Perform additional technical and administrative duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree, which can be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis with a maximum substitution of 4 years
- At least one year of parts inventory and/or shop maintenance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite - e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Good recall for details and mechanical aptitude
- Strong negotiating skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing objectives
- Must be able to take responsibility for assigned projects and work effectively under general or minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to process large volumes of data
- Ability to travel to company locations
PREFERRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Automotive or Truck Dealership Service Advisor or Service Manager Experience
- At least two years of industry or related experience
- Experience working with warranties
- Experience using databases and warranty tracking programs (i.e. Dossier)
REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Class C drivers license
- Safe driving record for the last three years
