JOB SUMMARY
The Construction and Excavation Laborer performs laborer duties for any project they are assigned to.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safely performs laborer tasks as directed such as, but not limited to: flagging, maintaining grounds and facilities, moving material, forming for concrete, tying rebar, stripping forms, pouring concrete, installing pipe and drainage structures, picking up trash and litter, silt fence installation, and shoveling.
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Must have dependable transportation
- Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as requested or needed
- Willingness to work varying job shifts, depending on production needs
- Ability to follow simple instructions and safety rules
PREFERRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Class C drivers license
- Safe driving record for the past 3 years.
- Performing laborer work outdoors
- Some experience working with concrete
- Some experience working with underground pipe installation
- Experience operating small equipment
- Ability to communicate and follow directions in English.
