Granville Medical Center Primary Care Physician in Creedmoor, North Carolina

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Creedmoor, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.

  • Perform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education.

  • Manage common illnesses and injuries, and coordinate care for more complex cases.

  • Provide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

  • Community Engagement:

  • Foster relationships with patients and their families, understanding and addressing their unique needs.

  • Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs.

  • Build trust within the community and advocate for the healthcare needs of the population.

  • Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and support staff.

  • Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed.

  • Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend care and consultation.

  • Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Manage administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and billing, as required.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines.

  • Emergency Care:

  • Provide emergency medical care for urgent health issues when necessary.

  • Be prepared to handle a wide range of medical emergencies in a rural setting.

  • Professional Development:

  • Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements.

  • Participate in professional organizations and conferences relevant to primary care.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

  • Licensure: Valid medical license in NC or eligibility for licensure.

  • Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a rural or underserved setting is preferred but not required.

  • Skills:

  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs.

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologies.

    Working Conditions:

  • Environment: Clinic

  • Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

  • Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to perform medical procedures and lift/pull patients as needed.
