Taco, Inc. Commercial Pump Assembler (Temporary) in Cranston, Rhode Island
Works from bills of materials, using a computer, and assembly drawings (blueprints) to perform final assembly of full range of commercial pumps.
Picks the aggregate parts list from Stores.
Uses hand tools, power tools and hoists.
Ensures proper parts are received. Assembles units using standard practices and procedures assuring correct fits with tolerances. Places assembled pumps on conveyor.
Visually checks for quality and repairs defects as required to bring pieces to acceptable quality level. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
Makes frames as necessary.
Maintains work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety and health rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as required or directed.

Performs duties to set-up, mount, wire and program Variable Frequency Drives to pump motors, using electrical, wiring and computer software programming skills. Reads, interprets and follows schematics, manufacturing drawings and bills of material. Completes work to quality and industry standards and achieves productivity targets.
Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Required Skills
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in a production environment, working from bills of material and blueprints
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively apply to assigned work
Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access product, schedule and resource data
Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing, twisting and lifting
Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes
Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices
