This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician to work with our team in Crane, IN. The role will support System Prototyping and Manufacturing of various components. The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment alongside a small engineering team.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

  • Program, set up and operate various manual as well as CNC machining equipment.

  • Inspect and document under ISO 9001 requirements various parts using precision inspection equipment.

  • Be willing to learn and utilize other various fabrication equipment as well as Forklift training and operation.

  • Utilize and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

• Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 0 years experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years related (DoD/USN) experience.

• G-Code programming knowledge

• Experience operating manual as well as CNC machining equipment

• Proficient in use of inspection equipment

• Able to interpret and create machined parts from detailed Drawings.

• Ability to work with others and add input to a team environment.

• Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction.

Preferred Requirements

• Solidworks CAD/CAM experience

• HAAS CNC Lathe/Mill experience

• 5-Axis Machining Center operation experience

Physical Requirements

Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
