Naval Sea Systems Command ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in Crane, Indiana

Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Deployed Surface Electronic Warfare Systems & Decoys Program Management (PM1) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435). The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the total life cycle logistics functions for AN/SLQ-32(V)6 from Pre-MS C, MS C FRP and sustainment through disposal. You will serve as a recognized expert, principal advisor and program representative for all matters pertaining to in-service logistics. You will direct, assign and monitor work at technical activities and contractors in accordance with Associate Program Managers (APM) direction and guidance. You will formulate and make recommendations for technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs, and adapts plans to meet evolving ILS, resource sponsor or programmatic needs. You will have regular contact with the Program Executive Office (PEO) as well as key Fleet, and contractor representatives to communicate program requirements, progress, recommended changes and issues. You will draw on practical experience, the employee recommends system acquisition logistics milestones and develops and defends schedules and budgets and monitors costs to ensure execution of plans do not exceed funding. You will recommend logistics-related work assignments for Acquisition Engineering Agent, In-Service Engineering Agent and contractors and manage those activities to ensure work done is in accordance with direction, schedules and funding levels. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating and evaluating integrated logistics support (ILS) data and acquisition requirements for weapon systems or warfare equipment to modify or develop plans to support and reduce life cycle costs and improve technical activities for the operational readiness of systems.
