Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

Once the FedEx truck arrives, all of the packages are put on a conveyor or wrapped pallets. First, the material handler will process the entire order and separate the order by product number. After the pallet is processed and separated, they will use an RF scanner to locate where they need to stock the merchandise. They will use an Order Picker (Stand-up FL), Electric Pallet Jack, and sit-down to move the material to the specific location. They will also be responsible for picking and packing. Note that this role will involve being on a forklift for 50% of the day and performing other warehouse functions for the remaining 50%.

Work Environment

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. The role also ensures the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to various internal and external customers.
