Your Day-to-Day: Manage a team of internal and contract Technical and Solutions architects who are responsible for leading highly complex solution design evaluations and analyses of technical applications and services across multiple disciplines/functions. Provide architectural guidance on all technology strategy matters and collaborate with other technical teams in the exchange and transfer of technical knowledge. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture in the development and evolution of architecture standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and the IT Technology Roadmap. Subject matter expert in multiple technology domains. Lead a high-performance team focused on designing secure and resilient technology architectures that meet all the current and anticipated future IT requirements of the organization within committed delivery dates. Responsible for all Solution Architecture activities that take place during requirements gathering, solution ideation, solution design, development, and documentation. Translating reference architectures into physical designs, taking account of business requirements, target environments, processes, performance requirements, existing systems and services, and any potential safety-related aspects Creating and maintaining IT design policies, philosophies and criteria, covering all areas including connectivity, capacity, interfaces, security, resilience, recovery, access and remote access, and ensuring that all new services meet their service levels and targets Proposing design enhancements to IT infrastructure, capacity changes, continuity, backup and recovery arrangements, as required, and being aware of operational requirements, especially in terms of service levels, availability, response times, and security Mature and expand the scope and use of citizen architecture to more effectively scale and improve delivery leveraging internal corporate and industry knowledge. In conjunction with Enterprise Architecture, set technology direction and establish standards for the organization. Collaborating with Application/Cloud Architects, Infrastructure storage and network Architects, Cyber Security Architect, as well as Business Architects to ensure understanding and buy-in. Continuously improve onboarding processes, documentation standards and templates, training and mentoring across architecture teams. Drive continuity of design reviews while maintaining flexibility and agility as appropriate. Provide Architect resource management across architecture team within the IT PMO process. Develop staffing forecast to meet a six month lookahead. Manage team annual objectives, performance reviews, employee development, and mentoring.
Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: Bachelor's degree in IT, related technical discipline, or equivalent. Minimum 7 years of IT specific work experience with a minimum of 4 years in lead/managerial roles. Professional Level Certification in technical area of competency (SAP, Microsoft, Cisco, Arista, ITIL, etc.) preferred Recognized as technical expert and demanding resource manager. Leadership of work/project teams, including indirect reporting lines. Strong ability to communicate across a wide audience of IT and business professionals, including technical discussion with IT professionals. Demonstrated ability in process management and continuous improvement. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage igh demand and conflicting priorities. Demonstrated abilities in decision making, analytical skills, project management, and out-of-the box thinking. Confident and effective in establishing new capabilities and programs, including new solutions, technologies, and/or platforms. Familiar with IT compliance controls.
