MOFFAT COUNTY Development Services Director in CRAIG, Colorado
POSITION: Development Services Director
DUTIES: Performs project management and contract administration in the construction and maintenance of County facilities, roadways, and some utility projects. Manages all aspects of designated projects or programs with county staff, county departments, municipalities, public agencies, and private contractors. Reviews consultant and developer submittals for engineering correctness and assists other departments with engineering issues.
- Carries out managerial responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including: interviewing, hiring and training, planning, assigning and directing work; establishing deadlines; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Plans, coordinates, assigns, and monitors performance and coaches, counsels, mentors, trains, and advises employees in department for the dual goals of meeting department goals, BOCC goals, and employee career develop
- Interprets, develops, communicates, updates and/or monitors ordinances, policies, procedures, and standards for the department and County.

REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 21 years of age * Must have a valid Driver's License * Must be able to pass a background and drug screening * Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field * Five to seven years of progressively responsible related experience * Principles and Practices of Civil and Vertical Construction Projects. * Grant Writing

WAGE: $76,220 - $95,275/ Year

SHIFTS: Full-time - 40 hours per week
