GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is designed to provide comprehensive mobile emergency services in community settings with primary emphasis on crisis intervention, stabilization, and safety planning. Other activities include consultation, assessments, individual appointments, screenings, and clinical leadership of non-clinical staff. Services will be provided to all age groups and will include both interventions for individuals and families. This person will work closely with community partners who serve mutual clients, coordinate services, monitor staff availability, approve clinical documentation, and gather and provide data required by MCR model. This person will also oversee services to insure proper dispatch of all calls. Shall adhere to the ethical code established by the organizations governing his/her profession as well as the professional standards outlined in the Personnel Policies and Procedure Manual of Four County Mental Health Center. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Quantity: Work scheduled hours (daytime or on-call), responding to phone calls, walk-ins, and requests from other agencies for screenings, consults, and outpatient services. Responds to requests for information on procedures, etc. from other agencies. Meets standards for expected client contacts as defined by MCR program requirements. 2. Judgment: Gather necessary information to make determination as to the least restrictive, yet most appropriate level of care required for the patient. Develop and oversee implementation of diversion plans or hospitalization arrangements. Utilize information from patient, other pertinent parties and medical record. Utilizes engagement skills with individuals, families, and community partners that encourages and promotes mobile crisis services and creates a positive experience of care experience for all involved. 3. Clinical: Respond with timely face-to-face contact within the community, following access and response standards set by organizational competency standards, CCBHC criteria, and applicable State requirements. Intervenes and stabilizes behavioral health emergencies with goal of utilizing least restrictive level of care without compromising safety. Utilizes skills and evidenced based practices to complete assessments, screenings, provisional diagnoses, safety plans, and initial treatment plans.
