Job Summary

Based predominantly in our facilities in East Cowes, the Site IT Manager will be the main point of contact for site leadership teams, and responsible for maintaining and representing IT at our operational sites in East Cowes and Luton.

The primary goal is to identify and quantify local site IT demands, assess against Global Standards, in-flight projects via the IT Operating model and where appropriate are empowered to drive the change.

They will act as an account manager for IT, ensuring that Central IT Functions deliver IT services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements.

The site IT Manager will also provide local IT employees the necessary support recognising that we are operating in a geographically diverse organisation.

There is an expectation that the post holder will spend at least one day per week in our Luton facility.

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Acts as the IT Business Partner for both the East Cowes and Luton sites, representing the IT function as a member of the Site Steering Committee (SSC)

  • Empowered to steer IT resources in conjunction with IT functional leads to solve IT issues /assignments.

  • Implements, maintains and monitors IT policies and procedures

  • Ensures equipment is deployed to realise maximum efficiency and cost containment

  • Supports Global / Regional IT operations

  • Support adherence to Global or Regional IT standards ensuring they are adopted and IT systems are utilised to the full potential with the support of global functions as required.

  • Supports Annual IT Budget process

  • Oversees Management of IT services within both sites

  • Ensuring the IT function is efficient and customer service oriented

  • Ensures IT security requirements are observed and implemented within the sites of responsibility

  • Support IT employees based on site with Pastoral care (Facilities, Health Safety and Wellbeing etc.)

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Management

Job Qualifications

Suitable applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in a similar role;

  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry;

  • Ability to understand how IT impacts our business, and to solve associated problems and challenges as and when they arise;

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop less-experienced team members

  • Willingness and ability to spend at least one day per week in our Luton facility
