Job Summary
The Software Sales Specialist acts as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and serves as a liaison between the Business Development / Sales Team, Development Teams, and External Clients related to the Technical Products and Solutions offered by GridIntel.

Who You Are
3-5 years of technical sales support and product/project management experience within a software technology environment.
Associate degree in computer science / Information Technology or equivalent education.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Works well under pressure and deadlines.
Excellent MS Office skills especially with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Previous experience with software-based solutions including installation and initial configuration of software solutions.
Previous experience and/or familiarity with the Utility market sector including IOUs, Municipal, and Cooperative Clients, a plus.
Ability to have direct client engagement (email, phone, in-person)
Enjoys travel to support Business Development Team and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events. (travel can be up to 50% at times)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performing product/solution demos.
Supporting the Business Development Team on client engagements.
Providing after-the-sale client support.
Soliciting client feedback regarding product/solution deficiencies and new feature requests.
Works with end users to maximize product/solution benefits by providing training and facilitating the delivery and installation of products/solutions.
Answers inquiries and questions from customers related to ongoing use of products, installation, setup, etc. as first-line support.
Provides intelligence to Business Development team regarding new or expanded opportunities.
Assures that all necessary technical information is obtained from the customer in order to scope and provide an accurate quotation.
Assures that the client fully understands the scope or application of products/solutions represented.
Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend solutions that assist the customer in meeting their project objectives, and improvements that will maintain and grow sales.
Works with others to keep CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and opportunity tracking updated.
Take part in software development SCRUM ceremonies as a Sales stakeholder.
