We are in search of a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in the Import/Export industry, based in Covington, Louisiana. Your role will involve managing the clerical and administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of daily processes and controls, and providing top-notch service to our internal business partners. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Efficiently handle the administrative and clerical needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Ensure daily processes and controls are executed accurately and in a timely manner in line with Company policies

• Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners

• Assist with internal and external audits as required

• Manage the daily department mail, including opening, sorting, and distributing

• Log, photocopy, sort, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify and mail checks, ensuring special handling when necessary

• Take up special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Proven experience in the Import/Export industry is required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrated expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Coding Invoices is necessary

• Must possess strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is essential

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software is a must
