Robert Half HR Manager (Contract onsite) in Covington, Georgia

Description

Robert Half HR Solutions is currently seeking a contract Human Resources Manager for our client located in Covington, GA. The successful contract HR Manager candidate will be responsible for overseeing our HR operations, ensuring compliance with California labor laws, and managing onboarding and offboarding processes. In this position, you will need to have superior communication skills to effectively interact with HR Generalists and a leader who is not based in Georgia.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee HR operations across multi-state locations

• Ensure compliance with California employment law

• Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees

• Serve as the point of contact for escalated HR issues

• Oversee the organization's self-funded benefits plan

• Use ADP Workforce Now to keep track of employee records and processes

• Implement and manage full cycle payroll across multiple sites

• Supervise a team of 3-4 HR employees

• Demonstrate high business acumen and people skills in all interactions

• Conduct employee relations investigations when necessary.

Our client is looking for this role to begin February 2025 and requires that a contract HR Manager be available for the duration of the engagement with little to no absences due to critical timelines that need to be achieved during this engagement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Human Resources role

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is a must

• Experience in managing various Benefit Functions

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven track record of ensuring Compliance in all HR activities

• Demonstrated expertise in Employee Relations

• Experience in Onboarding new hires effectively

• Ability to handle Terminations and draft Termination Letters professionally

• Proficiency in conducting Employee Relations Investigations

• Thorough understanding of California Labor Law

• Experience in managing Benefits and Payroll

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll

• Experience in managing HR activities across Multi-Site locations

• Proficiency in handling Multistate Payroll
