Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Perform work on the production line; run equipment and inspect, stack, separate, count, and pack products. Conduct quality checks and properly record information. Monitor machinery and equipment operation to ensure all products meet performance specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ascend/descend stairs/ladders to access machinery and catwalks

  • Keep up with machine production rates

Essential Skills

  • 6 months to 1 year of production experience

  • Entry-level position (0 to 2 years’ experience)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to work hard and learn new skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with general labor, packaging, general production, QA checks, inspection, packing, and tape measure usage

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing and production environment, which may include exposure to high/precarious places, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, odors, and fumes. The environment is loud, and you will work indoors in packaging and blow-molding production areas. The team size consists of about 90 people on each shift. The dress code includes shorts or jeans, a clean work shirt, and steel toe (or composite) shoes. Shifts include A/B Shift: 6:45am-6:45pm, C/D Shift: 6:45pm-6:45am, Days: 6:30am-3pm Mon-Fri, Nights: 10:30pm-7am Sun-Thurs, and Mids: 2:30pm-11pm Mon-Fri. Shift differentials are $1.50 for mids and $1.75 for nights.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $17.25/hr.
