ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Adhere to all guest service essentials for the position. Demonstrate working knowledge of basic cooking and preparation methods. Prepare food items following menu specifications and standard recipes. Safely and effectively use all equipment essential to the position. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Ensure quality standards and cost control measures are followed. Responsible for all routine opening, during-service, and closing functions and checklists. Interact with fellow team members in a cooperative manner. Communicate clearly using appropriate language and conduct when engaging Guests and Team Members. Abide by all Health Department food safety requirements. Participate in all required training and meetings essential to the position. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Have a complete knowledge of MSDS location, cleaning products, equipment, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and supplies. Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Standards of Conduct, attendance, appearance, confidentiality, safety, and sanitation. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Able to perform all cooking duties Must complete training or certification required for the position Must be able to work at a fast pace with a sense of urgency Able to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments Must have excellent guest service skills Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety and security policies Able to work flexible hours that might include evenings, weekends, and holidays Able to communicate effectively to guests, team members and leaders SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate with others regarding safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Ability to read and communicate. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Team member is exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke. This is an environment that serves alcohol and although measures are in effect to mitigate intoxication, you may encounter intoxicated guests. This position requires work on the casino floor which has a constant level of noise and lighting which may include flashing and colored lights.
