A WAY OUT Legal Advocate in Coudersport, Pennsylvania
The Legal Advocate will be responsible legal advocacy, group counseling, transportation and accompaniment.
This position is a Full Time position and may require some evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Must be able to obtain Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain records as they relate to program services
- Develop and coordinate trainings to law enforcement, provide advocacy and support to vicitms of sexual assault and domestic violence
- Provide emotional support to adults and children
- Provide intake interview to establish individual needs
- Provide direct counseling
- Provide information resources and referrals to service recipients
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new volunteers
- Assist in the maintaining of the ETO data base
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, internet, and email.
