ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sr Tech Support Sustaining Eng here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our software applications and systems to ensure their optimal performance and functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, implement bug fixes, and develop new features. Your expertise in both front-end and back-end development will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

You will report directly to our Sustaining Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Costa Mesa, CA location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our software applications by ensuring their stability, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your contributions will play a key role in delivering exceptional user experiences and driving customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues and bugs

  • Develop and implement bug fixes and enhancements to improve software performance and functionality

  • Perform testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software development processes

The annual base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $115,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in full stack software development

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular

  • Strong knowledge of back-end technologies such as Java, Python, or Node.js

  • Experience with databases and SQL

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Master’s degree in computer science or a related field

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
